Why does this work everywhere?
These styles aren't a special font — they're built from separate Unicode character sets (like Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols) that happen to look bold, italic, or script. Because they're just characters, not formatting, they paste correctly into bios and text fields that don't support real bold/italic formatting.
A note on accessibility
Screen readers often can't parse styled Unicode text the way they read normal letters — they may skip it, spell it out letter by letter, or stay silent. Great for a bio or a one-off caption; best avoided for anything a visually impaired visitor needs to actually read, like a date, price, or important instruction.
- Why don't numbers or symbols convert in some styles?
- Some Unicode font blocks only cover letters A–Z, so numbers and punctuation are left as-is in those styles.
- Will this display correctly on every device?
- Almost all modern phones and computers support these characters, but very old devices or fonts may show blank boxes for a few of the rarer styles.
- Is it safe to use fancy text for important information?
- Avoid it for anything that must be accessible to everyone — screen readers and search engines both read plain text far more reliably than styled Unicode.
