Using fancy fonts on Discord
Discord accepts Unicode in display names, server nicknames, custom status, channel topics and messages. Type your text above, copy a style, and paste it. No bot or app is needed.
Styles that suit Discord
Fraktur and Bold Fraktur look gothic and work for gaming and fantasy servers. Monospace looks technical. Double-Struck is clean and mathematical. Small Caps and Fullwidth give an aesthetic look. Strikethrough and Underline can be used for jokes in messages.
Discord's own formatting
In messages, Discord also supports markdown: **bold**, *italic*, __underline__ and ~~strikethrough~~. Markdown keeps text readable for everyone, so it is often the better choice for chat. Use Unicode styles for places markdown does not work, like display names and nicknames.
Things to watch
Some servers filter or block certain characters in names, and heavy decorative styles can make you harder to search or mention. Moderators may ask you to change a name that is unreadable.
